Also good luck on finals everyone.
So, I'll start.
Two years ago, i had a gap in between classes and i didnt know what to do with the time other than sleep in the library or bowl. But when i saw that they had smash, i was like screw bowling, lets brawl . LOL

I was there when they brought a Nintendo Wii down there with Wii Sports and Brawl. That didn't always use to be there.
ReplyDeleteI walked down just to see what the bowling alley had to offer and have been playing it and Wii Tennis ever since.
Anyone ever wants to challenge me to Wii Tennis I'm down. I will win
I saw a whole bunch of people playing this game. I wasn't sure about my ability at this game but at the same time i wanted to be social so i bothered not playing it until mid october.
ReplyDeletei would 'destroy' you. lets play after finals or begining of next semester.
Abu
I found out about brawl in my freshmen year. In my first semester, I went to bowling ally to kill time and saw some players playing brawl. That time, I was much into tekken and didn't bother much about brawl, but that soon changed when I saw nobody using sonic (about whom I wrote in the previous blog).
ReplyDeleteEven then tough, I didn't quite get soo involved (I found mario kart and guitar heroes more interesting). It was all in my second semester when I got serious with brawl.
And yup, there you have it... my inaugural folly.
MOAR!!! SPAMMING!!!
ReplyDeleteMOAR MOAR MOAR.
ReplyDeleteSo guys I'm going to research how much it would cost to have a tourney in either Montezuma Hall or Casa Real.
Oh man that would be awsome, then I would play seriously and more competatively then.
ReplyDeleteBut back on topic...
I found the place when Brett (aka ";)" or "SPAM") told me that they had ping-pong in the 'game center'. So after our math class during the first or second week of school we went to the game center and played some ping pong. That when I notice you guys played Brawl there but Brett didn't really pay attention because he never played it before. So after like 3 day in a row of ping-pong I convinced Brett that we should play. And thats how it all began...
Hmm... for the next topic you should ask how we came up with our gamer-names.
ReplyDeleteYou know, it would be better if this place had a forum, that way we can make topics of our own and post vids, etc.
(Double-post FTW)
@ Grymm. Unfortunately I have no idea how to make a forum and it would be great to have one instead of this lol.
ReplyDelete@ Lance. That would be great. More competition and more people that will play brawl lol
UCSD is having a 2 day tournament on the 17/18th of Jan. For more information, go to World Smash Forums located on the side.
Hope you all have a great xmas break.
=)
I got the forum going at www.sdsubrawlers.ucoz.com
ReplyDeletespread the word
I actually remenbered when aztec center still had brawl and would see a lot of people playing but I didn't take any notice.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't until I saw a video of the game being played in a Stupid Mario Bros video and thought "this game looks cool. I should try it out."
I ended up borrowing my cousin's copy (the game was stolen then) for months and I got addicted...
@ Lance: that'd be great! Tell us what you find out soon!
@ Grymm: a UCSD tournament? I see a field trip...*hinthint*
Oh I'm going to that UCSD tournament (if God says the same). The Winter Game Fest should be awesome.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be about $10 though and these people don't play for fun/fair. Some play to win and that means:
a) Chain Grabs
b) Spamming
c) Running away until time runs out
d) Chain Grabs
e) Moar spam
So just letting you know that
